Contemporary Three-storey Residence

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India Completed

The brief

This three-storey contemporary residence is defined by sleek lines, layered balconies, and a mix of materials — white, grey, and wood — that play contrast against warmth. The building is complete.

The challenge

A three-storey urban house has to stack living space vertically while keeping each level well-lit and connected, and give the street a modern, layered façade on a limited footprint. On this Lucknow residence that vertical organisation and a contemporary elevation were the central tasks.

What makes it special

The design uses layered balconies, mixed materials and a strong interplay of solid and glazed surfaces to give the home depth and a distinctly contemporary rhythm. As a modern residential project in Lucknow, it adds to the practice's portfolio of light-led, material-rich urban homes.
