Contemporary Church
California, United States Completed
The brief
This California church is designed as a symbol of faith and permanence in a modern architectural language. Its dark-grey exterior and twin-entrance composition give the building authority and presence, standing as a landmark in its urban setting. Part of our international work.
The challenge
A church is one of the most demanding building types symbolically and spatially — it must create a sense of gathering and elevation while working as a practical assembly space, and here do so as a landmark on its California site. The challenge was a modern faith building that feels dignified and contemporary rather than merely traditional.
What makes it special
The design gives the church a strong, calm identity — a dark-toned contemporary massing with tall arched windows and a clear, elevated entrance, marking it as a landmark faith building. As a religious project in the United States, it shows the practice handling places of worship across faiths and countries — reinforcing both the religious-architecture specialism and the international reach.
